Government Bans 43 More Chinese Mobile Apps, Check Full List Here

 

 

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA BANS 43 CHINESE MOBILE APPS INCLUDING ALI EXPRESS, ALIPAY CASHIER, ALIBABA WORKBENCH

 

 

(MEITY) The Ministry Of Electronics and Information Technology blocked 43 Chinese Mobile apps including Ali Express, Alipay Cashier, Alibaba Workbench, CamCard and WeDate for engaging in activities to India’s Defence, Integrity, Security, Public Order and Sovereignty. 

“The Ministry of electronics and information technology has issued the order for blocking the access of these apps by users in India based on the comprehensive reports received from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center, ministry of home affairs,” it said in an official statement.

 

On 29th June, The Government Of India bans 59 Chinese Mobile Apps Including TikTok, We Chat, Helo and on 2nd September another 118 apps like PUBG Mobile Lite, Livik, Baidu were banned under section 69A of the IT Act. 

The IT Ministry said that we have taken this move to “safeguard the interests of 130 crores of Indian mobile and internet users”

The move of ban to 58 apps followed soon after taken steps to block Investment Of China in key infrastructure sectors like Telecom and Roads.
